Ewan joined the Centre for Cities in February 2012.  He holds a MA (Merit) in Global Political Economy from the University of Sussex and has a particular interest in post 2007/08 financial crisis policy trends.

Prior to his current role, Ewan interned for the think tank Demos where he worked with then Director, Kitty Ussher on the flagship project ‘Good Growth’ which sought to provide a superior measure of economic prosperity to gross domestic product (GDP).

He also has experience working for the public affairs agency Lexington Communications. During this time he undertook political research and monitoring for bluechip companies in sectors ranging from financial services to pharmaceuticals.
