Alison Newton

Partner, HBJ Gateley

Alison is a partner and member of the management board at HBJ Gateley the Scottish practice of national commercial law firm Gateley.

A real estate lawyer, Alison previously spent over 20 years at McGrigors and throughout her career has specialised in development and multi use regeneration projects being consistently rated in the legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers. She led a UK Regeneration team which was the first law firm to win a national award as regeneration consultants and has advised clients on strategic and practical issues affecting their development investment and occupation plans . She sat on the Court of Dundee University for two terms and has previously been a Board member  of the The Lighthouse Trust ( Centre for Architecture and Design ) and the Scottish Youth Theatre .
